DESCRIPTION OF XCABLE TESTER
----------------------------
XCable Tester will test cables using the PC serial ports.
The program is designed for use in troubleshooting, reverse
engineering cables and custom cable ordering applications.
It will scan the cable and compare it to a pre-defined
cable configuration stored in a .CBL file.

XCable Tester requires MS-Windows 3.1 and two free COM serial ports.

CONTENTS

INSTALL.BAT  Run this for a simple, one-step installation to drive C: .
XCABLE12.EXE A self-unpacking program file. Run it to install XCable
              in the current directory.

The XCABLE12.EXE self-unpacking file will unpack into:

README.TXT      this file
TSTR.EXE        the XCable Tester Program
TSTR.INI        controls Tester program defaults
XCABLE.INI      controls user interface preferences
XCABLE.HLP      the help system
*.CBL           cable configuration files.
		These files can be created with the XCable CBL
		Configuration Tool program which is provided to 
		registered users.
TSTR.WRI        XCable Tester user manual in MS-Write format
ORDER.FRM       Ordering form
BWCC.DLL	Borland Windows Custom Controls, needed for nice screens
